This position is responsible for coordinating and managing production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources, timely is the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally. You will handle inquiries, orders, and complaints, providing exceptional service and building strong relationships. Your role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing plant specializing in plastic bag production through extrusion processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use ERP system to enter customer purchase orders to produce order for scheduling
- Provide pricing for all customer quotes and orders
- Develop and foster relationships with customers
- Work directly with sales reps and management to achieve sales goals.
- Manage and grow existing customer house accounts
- Manage customer requests regarding order status, returns and complaints
- Maintain Redi-Bag and customer stock inventory with min max program
- Create documents/reports regarding issues, orders, pricing, and sales.
- Coordinate issue resolution between customer and appropriate internal members (plant, shipping, accounting).
- Hold new order meeting to provide correct information on new order
- Scan and file customer purchase orders in ERP system
SQF Level 1 Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Food Safety guidelines
- Abide by all company Programs and Policies related to Food Safety (GMP,s, Foreign Material Control, Housekeeping, Product Tampering, etc.)
- Abide by all personal hygiene rules (handwashing)
- Report incidents that impact the quality of Food Contact Packaging to the manager (pest sightings, equipment malfunctions, raw material issues, etc.)
- Report to supervisor if you are suffering from any communicable disease.
- When inputting job orders specify FDA and SQF orders, ensure customer requirements are correctly noted.
- Ensure customer requirements are correctly noted on the job ticket
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities “KSA”)
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365-word processing and spreadsheet application
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and function well in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and phone.
- Capacity for occasional standing and walking within the office setting.
- Capability for light lifting of files or office supplies as needed.
- Flexibility for occasional bending, reaching, and manual dexterity tasks.
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels and standard office equipment.
- Interaction with colleagues and customers in person, over the phone, and via email.
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 an hour | $45,760.00 to $54,040.00 non-exempt
